Spend the day wondering the streets of Moshi town and observing the lives of people that reside here. Your day could include visiting Moshi’s main road, the local vegetable and fish market, post office, local bus stand, Moshi airport with wonderful views of Kilimanjaro on a clear day, Moshi train stop, widest tree in Moshi, experience the oldest elevator in Tanzania, Moshi view point, see the art of local artists and handicraft workshops, leather factory and treat yourself to a local coffee / milkshake!
A caldera located within the Kenyan-Tanzanian border. Enjoy your day at the restaurant / bar overlooking the lake, hike down to the shores of the lake (approx. 30 minutes) to swim or canoe. Aside from plenty of fish, monitor lizards, baboons, monkeys, herds of elephants may be seen on a side track from your trek down to the lake if you’re lucky.

Enter Kilimanjaro National Park gates and complete your registration. Hike through the rainforest for 3-5 hours, till Mandara Hut in time for picnic lunch. A side trip to Maundi Crater is a good way to see the surroundings with views of the heather vegetation zone and views of Mawenzi on clear days. Descend through the forest trail back to the park gates

Spend the day in an authentic Maasai village situated in West Kilimanjaro region and share the Maasai life with a traditional lunch. Your day can include museum and village tour / walking safari in the Maasai territory / learning Maasai hunting techniques & learning about Maasai medicine and having traditional chai (tea) with the oldest lady in the village. On clear days enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru on either side.
Visit coffee farms of local farmers located on the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. Your day will include a guided tour of the different processes involved in coffee from the initial plantation of the coffee to the end product. Learn about fair trade and get to make your own coffee and taste it!
Glide across the smooth surface of this small crater lake in your canoe and view birdlife up-close. This is a very special and quiet canoeing experience with Mount Meru as your backdrop.
Your tour will be at the foot of Mount Meru, absolute natural beauty, the park is home to some of the continent’s most breath-taking scenery and volcanic landscape. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and baboons can be seen all year round as well as up to 600 different bird species during your game drive.
